Art Frugality

In this blog, we discuss how to reduce your art expenses using the picture on the left and its cost breakdown as our starting point:

Purchase the picture from the artist at a gallery       $1200
Purchase a custom made picture frame to match     $245
——————————————————————————-
                                                                            $1455

Purchasing art in galleries might not be financially viable. You might consider spreading a rumor that you’re interested in a painting, preferably among people who owe you a favor. Not everyone gets the hint, and if it does, This is a cheap option, which usually does not come with a frame. If you care about keeping friends, you could consider putting up some of your own money. Suppose you are willing to compromise some artistic details. In that case, some starving artists will sell you similar pictures for a quarter of the price. All the more so if you are interested mainly in Prickly Pair Cactus plants before they bear fruits. For cheaper frames, it’s best to buy framed feel-good kitten photos and throw out the images. This option is 75%-90% more affordable than the former.

You may choose to do it yourself. This option is depicted in the remaining three photos. To start, pick seven pumpkin seeds out of the salad. It is worth noting that the artifact in the pictures was created with seven pumpkin seeds, but up to eleven are just as cheap. It is more polite to pick the seeds from your serving rather than the shared salad bowl. Arrange the pumpkin seeds as shown in the picture, keeping in mind that your taste in art is very personal, so you may prefer a different layout. Take the cork from the wine bottle; there’s always wine where there are pumpkin seeds in the salad. Place the bottle cork directly beneath the lower tip of the bottom pumpkin seed. Step back to appreciate your work and take a photo with your iPhone. It will be an iPhone if you eat pumpkin seeds in your salad. You can now eat the seeds and put the cork back on the bottle. Upload the photo to your selected cloud storage so a friend with a printer can print it for you on any fine printing paper they have. Repeat any of the framing options from above. Beyond the basics, say add cacti fruits. You will need to lick some roe from some of the California Rolls on Tobiku Sushi going around the table. Then gently, roll individual eggs off your tongue with your index finger and gently apply them around and on top of the pumpkin seeds. It would be best to have a ratio of 2:1 or 3:1 to 1, depending on how much fruit your cactus bears. Repeat taking pictures, printing, and framing steps.
